ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL

Wolves goaltenders have surrendered two or fewer goals in eight of the last 10 games, which includes allowing one or fewer markers in four of those contests; Chicago ranks seventh in the AHL with a 2.64 goals-against average this year.

--- Peter Mannino: Turned aside 22 of Abbotsford's 24 shots on Feb. 4 to extend his winning streak to a career-high six games ... Allowed two or fewer goals in 16 of his 19 appearances this season and ranks first in the AHL with a 1.78 goals-against average and a .942 save percentage in 19 outings this season (14-3-0) ... Has won 11 of his last 12 starts, holding opponents to two or fewer goals in 11 of those matchups; Has allowed five goals on 148 shots in his last five tilts

--- Matt Anderson: Notched three points (G, 2A) in two games this week, which includes his second game-winning goal of the season on Feb. 4 ... Ranks fifth on the team with 17 assists and seventh with 24 points in 36 contests this season ... Paces team forwards and ranks third overall on the club with a +15 plus/minus rating ... Amassed 16 points (3G, 13A) and a +15 plus/minus rating over his last 12 games after collecting eight points (4G, 4A) and an even plus/minus rating in the previous 24 matchups

--- Tim Stapleton: Saw his season-best 11-game point streak snapped on Feb. 5;
notched eight goals and 20 points during the streak, which is tied for the fourth longest point streak in the AHL this season ... Ranks second on the Wolves and fourth in the AHL with 24 goals and ranks third on the team and shares 13th in the league with 45 points in 50 games this season ... He also leads the Wolves and ranks third in the league with six game-winning goals

Nathan Oystrick: Dished out a pair of assists on Feb. 4, his fourth multiple-point outing of the season ... Paces team defensemen and shares seventh on the Wolves with seven goals and leads team blueliners and ranks eighth on the team with 23 points in 40 contests this season... Leads the team with 74 penalty minutes and shares third on the team with four power-play goals

WOLF TRACKS

--- Starting with Tuesday's tilt against Peoria, Chicago's remaining 11 games in February will be played against West Division foes; the Wolves sit in fourth place in the West Division with 62 points (29-17-0-4) through 50 games this season and trail first-place Texas by three points with one game in hand.

--- Wolves captain Jason Krog is just one point shy of becoming the 79th player in the history of the AHL to record 500 points; the 34-year-old forward paces the Wolves and ranks second in the AHL with 42 assists and leads the team and shares fifth in the league with 51 points in 48 games this year.

--- Left wing Brett Sterling's goal on Feb. 4 was his seventh power-play goal of the season, which shares first on the team; Chicago ranks eighth in the AHL with a 19.4 efficiency rating on the power-play (40 of 206).

--- Chicago has been perfect on the penalty kill 24 times in 50 games this season, which includes thwarting all three of Abbotsford's power-play chances on Friday; the Wolves share seventh in the league with an 85.3 efficiency rating on the penalty kill (174 of 204).

--- The Wolves have outshot their opponents in a season-high six straight games and in eight of the last 10 games overall.

--- Right wing Anthony Stewart has converted on all four of his shootout attempts this season; his four shootout goals share fifth in the league.

--- The Wolves rallied to tie the game at two in the third period but fell in a nine-round shootout, 3-2, to the Abbotsford Heat at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre
--- Center Riley Holzapfel and right wing Anthony Stewart scored in regulation while STEWART and right wing Joey Crabb converted in the shootout
--- Goaltender Kari Lehtonen stopped 17 of 19 shots in regulation and overtime, and kicked out six of nine attempts in the shootout.

Thu., Feb. 4
Chicago 3, (at) Abbotsford 2
--- Center Matt Anderson cracked a 2-2 tie with 1:38 left to play to give the Wolves a 3-2 victory over the Abbotsford Heat at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre
--- Forwards Brett Sterling and Tim Stapleton also dented the net
--- Goaltender Peter Mannino made 22 saves on 24 shots
