The Chicago Wolves snapped out of their scoring slump with a six-goal outburst on Tuesday --- their lone game last week --- while skating to a 6-2 victory. The win broke a season-high three-game winless streak and the team will look to keep the momentum going as they return to Allstate Arena for the first home games of December. This week’s slate includes the first of two School-Day Games this season as Chicago hosts Adirondack on Wednesday. The Wolves are 11-2-0-0 all-time in morning games and 7-1-0-0 on home ice since playing their first School-Day contest in 2009-10.
The Chicago Wolves play just one game this week before facing seven days of rest and will try to snap their current three-game skid, the squad’s longest winless streak and tied for longest road winless streak of the season. The last time the Wolves suffered three consecutive regulation losses to begin a month was in 2009-10, when they kicked off October with an 0-3-0-0 record, and the last time they did so in December came in 2007-08 when they started the month 0-4-0-0. Despite the setback, the Wolves still rank second in the Midwest Division and in the top 10 in the American Hockey League.
Chicago Wolves defenseman JOEL EDMUNDSON will appear at the Warren Newport Public Library on Tuesday, Dec. 16, to continue the 20th season of the “Read to Succeed”program, presented by Butternut Bread and J.U.L.I.E., Inc.
